It is difficult to find adequate words to describe the compassion, knowledge, and authenticity that New Roots offers its patients. For years, disordered eating had ruled every aspect of my life. After working with New Roots for a little over a year, I feel empowered, nourished, and healthy for the first time. New Roots offers incredible nutrition guidance that is completely individual and sets patients up for lifelong health.

New Roots Offers

Nutrition counseling and mental health counseling for individuals and families of all ages.  New Roots specializes in nutrition and therapy services to support clients struggling in any area on the continuum of disordered eating. More than anything, we are passionate about supporting all clients in improving their relationship with food, their body and exercise, moving toward the goal of living life with an optimal mind-body connection.  Through our therapy services, we support clients toward getting to the root cause of their unique struggles.  Navigating living in our current body focused society can be difficult and we hope to be able to help make it a little easier with our team of professionals.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of mind-body nutrition is at the core of our practice. We believe:

  • A healthy body is self-regulating and self-healing
  • Our mind and emotions have an impact on how our bodies function
  • Symptoms (both physical and mental) are our body’s messengers.  Learning to work with and respond to our symptoms improves our health

Habits and beliefs formed in childhood and adolescence are deep-rooted and difficult to change. It is in discovering and forming new roots that we become the person we’re meant to be, with a body that naturally comes more into balance.

At every meeting, New Roots comes up with new ways of setting achievable goals. New Roots motivates you to look at the good in life and to take it one day at a time.
