Other Place You’ll Find Me

My absolute favorite place in the world is on the couch with the fuzziest blanket I can find. I love to watch my favorite shows, cuddle up with a good book, or hangout with my cat Binx. You can also find me on my yoga mat, whether at home or in a studio, my yoga practice is such an important part of my world.

Any spots to try good food, drinks, and ice cream have my heart. And I like to travel. So, the people closest to me living all up and down the East Coast, may result in you hearing about some weekend trips every once in a while.

Bailey’s compassion, patience, empathy and many other traits are I truly believe a huge reason why I’m not only alive today but also where I am in my recovery.

Meet Bailey Mericle, Registered Dietitian at New Roots

As a Registered Dietitian, I feel it is my responsibility to educate others on how important our relationship with food and body truly is. I recognize that in a world of ever changing rules and standards, simplifying the concept of health can be a breath of fresh air for many people. So, helping my clients                 re-discover their innate ability to listen to their body is a major part of the work we will do together.

It is not lost on me that disordered eating and poor body image may come from impossible beauty and wellness standards rooted in oppressive ideals. Therefore, I invite conversation around LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Neurodivergent identities. In addition, I align with a “Health at Every Size” (HAES) approach, and work to meet my clients right where they are.

.

What I Do

I truly feel that a little goes a long way in all aspects of health. Whether I am focusing on a client’s physical, mental, or emotional wellbeing, I will work with them to create small and attainable goals that don’t feel impossible yet still challenge diet-culture and all that it’s taught them.

Our work might include Intuitive Eating principles, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Yoga and Meditative practices, therapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), and gentle nutrition education.

My goal is to meet my clients where they are and support them along their journey with food and body.
